The first race was a huge success. 140 runners together managed to do 1110 yards. 7 runners reached 24h mark and the huge battle between Ritvars Kalniņš and Patryk Świętochowski ended after 46 yards with Ritvars taking the win and keeping the title in Latvia. Patryk with his assist of 45 yards achieved a new World record in the U23 category, a new Polish national record, and a new PB at the time. Next year Ritvars Kalniņš and Hannes Veide have confirmed their plans to battle it out, which means everyone will have a good chance to set their new PB or earn their spot in their National team.
