There is no finish. There is only one finisher. The last one standing.
Backyard Ultra is a form of ultra-marathon race where competitors must consecutively run the distance of 6706 meters (4.167 miles) in less than one hour.
When each lap (or yard) is completed, the remaining time within the hour is typically used to recover for the next hour’s race.
You must complete the 4.167 mile yard and be back ready to start the next one or you are out. The race continues until there is only one person who can complete a solo yard within the hour.
And we’ll have an awesome party at the finish with a bar, food vendors and music. Bring your support crew along for the day and they’ll be in fine spirits to help you celebrate when you cross the line!
The BagYard Ultra is a partnership event between the charity School in a Bag and RaceNation Events, with proceeds from the event going to School in a Bag.
