The 15 members of Team New Zealand will include the 3 winners of the Silver Ticket Events plus the top 12 runners from the At Large List. The current roster status can be found on www.backyardultra.com here under “2024 team Championships”. Select New Zealand from the Country dropdown list.
At Large performances can be recorded at any affiliated Backyard Ultra, a complete list is on the same website here under “Races”.
New Zealand Team eligible athletes include any NZ Permanent Resident, who runs in any of the affiliated Backyard Ultra events and enters with the nationality being “New Zealand”.
The winner will be named the National Champion for 2024. Simultaneous Satellite Championships will be held in over 50 countries. Each Yard completed by a Team member will count as one point. The country recording the most points will be named the World Team Champion. The top 50 national Champions from these races will earn a slot in the 2025 World Individual Championships.
