Flag City Backyard Ultra

The Flag City Backyard Ultra is a FREE last-man-standing event. Runners must complete a 4.3-mile loop around the Findlay Reservoir once an hour. At the top of each hour, the next lap begins. We’ll keep running laps until only one person remains. The last remaining runner is the winner. Everyone else is considered a DNF.

The course has 0 feet of elevation gain, 0 mud, and 0 roots to contend with. You won’t get lost, and nobody will be cutting corners. Plan to run long.

Thanks to our sponsors, entry remains free this year. Runners who complete one full lap in the first hour will receive a free shirt.

This is a self-supported race. No food, drink, or supplies will be provided during the race. Be prepared to run farther than you expect (pack the headlamp).

Parking

Parking will be available in the grass at the base of the reservoir.

Vehicles can drive to the top of the reservoir to drop off only; they cannot remain there.

Camping

We have permission from the city to set up tents the night before the race. We’ll be camping out. Come join us!

There will be porta-johns but no running water.
