GRASSROOTS BACKYARD ULTRA

The Grassroots Backyard Ultra (formerly Outrun)

Only 25 minutes south of Calgary, Alberta and neighbouring the Canadian Rockies, race headquarters is nestled in central historic Okotoks, Alberta.  This 6.71 km course loop runs along a tree lined, asphalt pathway with stunning views of the Sheep River and just 22 meters of gain.  This course is flat and fast enabling runners to push themselves to new personal distances.  Start/Finish will be stationed beside the Lions Park campground and a short walk from downtown Okotoks with hotels, restaurants, family recreation and amenities.
