Here is the most important information:
For your entry fee you get a backyard race at its best. You will run a lap with 40 metres of altitude on perfect hiking trails around Olbersdorfer See. You will run a lot in the shade with beautiful views. You will run a lot in the shade with beautiful views over the lake to the Zittau Mountains.
If you book the entry fee insurance, you can cancel up to 4 weeks before the competition without giving reasons and you will get your money back.
Included is the complete catering until DNF or victory. Everything is freshly prepared and always freshly cooked. Vegetarian and vegan meals are standard with us. Plus a large selection of various drinks and refreshments. A heavy, high-quality DNF medal with details of the miles you have run and a handcrafted winner’s trophy made of sandstone and oak are the reward for your efforts.
Free camping (tent) is possible directly behind the start/finish in the stadium area. If you want to stay in a room, the hotels “Haus am See”, “Dresdner Hof” and “Schloßhotel Althörnitz” are the best places. For campers, the “SeeCamping Zittauer Gebirge” is ideal. Just state that you are starting with us, and you can also book for 1-2 days.
Start and finish is the Westparkstadion Zittau/Pethau. Showers, WC (no porta-potties ;-)) and changing rooms are right next to the start/finish.
You can use a large 8x21m tent right next to the start/finish line, where you have enough space and are protected from sun and rain. The winner will qualify directly (Silver Ticket Race!!) for the German Championships in October 2024. The German Champion will take part in the World Championship in Tennessee in 2025.
Bring your families and have a nice weekend in the Oberlausitz. Maybe you’ll take a few days’ holiday at the same time. Food, drink and entertainment will be provided. Bathing fun and water sports are very well possible at the Olbersdorfer See. It’s only a 10-minute drive to the Czech Republic or Poland.
The finish will probably be on Monday or Tuesday, I hope you will still be in the race or at least stay at the course to cheer us on ;-). Especially the 2nd and 3rd night and the time afterwards is very interesting at a Backyard.
TEAM ranking (optional)
==> 3 runners with exactly the same team name are a team. In addition to the individual ranking, the team with the most laps run wins the team ranking. All 3 runners will receive a trophy 😉

Der Sieger ist für die Deutsche Meisterschaft qualifiziert.
Hier die wichtigsten Infos:
Für euer Startgeld bekommt ihr ein Backyard-Rennen vom Feinsten. Gelaufen wird eine Runde mit 40 Höhenmetern auf perfekten Wanderwegen um den O-See. Ihr lauft viel im Schatten mit schöne Blicke über den See ins Zittauer Gebirge.
Bucht ihr die Startgeld-Absicherung dazu, könnt ihr bis 4 Wochen vor dem Wettkampf ohne Angabe von Gründen stornieren und ihr erhaltet euer Geld zurück.
Enthalten ist die komplette Verpflegung bis zum DNF oder Sieg. Alles frisch zubereitet und immer wieder frisch nachgekocht. Vegetarisch und vegan ist bei uns Standard. Dazu eine große Auswahl diverser Getränke und Erfrischungen. Eine schwere, hochwertige DNF-Medaille mit Angabe eurer gelaufenen Meilen und ein handgewertigter Siegerpokal aus Sandstein und Eiche sind Lohn eurer Mühen.
Kostenfreies Campen (Zelt) direkt hinter Start/Ziel im Stadionbereich ist möglich. Wollt ihr im Zimmer übernachten, sind die Hotels “Haus am See”, “Dresdner Hof” und “Schloßhotel Althörnitz” am besten gelegen. Für Wohnmobile ist der “SeeCamping Zittauer Gebirge” ideal. Gebt an das ihr bei uns startet, und ihr könnt auch für 1-2 Tage buchen.

Ihr könnt ein große Läuferzelte a 8x21m direkt neben Star/Ziel nutzen, wo ihr genug Platz habt und geschützt vor Sonne und Regen seit. Der Sieger ist direkt (Silberticket-Race!!) für die Deutsche Meisterschaft im Oktober 2024 qualifizieren. Der Deutsche Meister nimmt 2025 an der Weltmeisterschaft in Tennessee teil.
Bringt eure Familien mit, und habt ein schönes Wochenende in der Oberlausitz. Vieleicht macht ihr gleich paar Tage Urlaub. Für Essen, Trinken und Kurzweiligkeit ist gesorgt. Badespaß und Wassersport ist am Olbersdorfer See sehr gut möglich. In nur 10 Minuten Fahrzeit seit ihr zu einem Ausflug in Tschechien oder Polen.
Zieleinlauf wird vermutlich im Laufe des Montag oder Dienstag sein, ich hoffe ihr seid da noch im Rennen oder bleibt zumindest zum anfeuern an der Strecke ;-). Vorallem die 2. und 3. Nacht und die Zeit danach, ist bei einem Backyard besonders interessant.
TEAM-Wertung (Optional)
==> 3 Läufer mit genau gleichen Teamnamen sind ein Team. Zusätzlich zur Einzelwertung, gewinnt das Team mit den meisten gelaufenen Runden die Teamwertung. Alle 3 Läufer erhalten je einen Pokal 😉
