Middle of Nowhere Backyard Ultra (Monbu) – The first official Backyard Ultra-race in the region of Ostrobothnia. Bronze ticket event in Finland (2023).
The inaugural race in 2023 was much fun and appreciated by both runners and spectators. So we decided to organize the event again in 2024. We got 50 runners to toe our starting corral this year (2024), compared to 23 starters in 2023. We may have to expand our starting corral with an equivalent increase in number of participants for 2025 year’s race. 😀
Monbu2025: The loop stays the same. Vertical rise per lap is approximately 69 m. Most of the climb consists of that one, enjoy it or not, long hill on the cross country trail. Catering and services for the runners also stay (approximately) the same. And maybe we will be lucky enough to have a DJ playing songs upon request this time. Monbu2025 will take place at Vargberget Outdoor Resort in Närpes, the 2nd of August.
First loop starts at 10 am EEST. Then we run a loop every hour until there’s one person left. Is that person you?
