Sant Joan les Fonts is a small town located in the middle of the natural park of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone, with its medieval bridge and the new church made of volcanic stone puts you in the medieval era for a few moments. The route of this Backyard goes through the historic places of the town, starting from inside the Castle of Juvinyà, crossing the medieval bridge and passing twice in front of the new church. Once we leave Sant Joan, we will enter the natural park of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone area to pass in front of the old quarry of Sant Joan les Fonts to continue towards the majestic Cingles de Fontfreda, we will cross the Fluvià river twice for a few steps of stone and we will pass to the rural area of the village where we will have views of the privileged environment of La Garrotxa, we will see large meadows with cows grazing, and maybe we will even meet a chicken in the middle of the road. We will also pass a small stretch of dreamy forest dressed in autumn to end up returning along the side of the canal to the village, where only the bravest will be able to start a new lap.
