Wayout Backyard Ultra, is a classic Backyard race with a stunning nature as the main venue.

CAMP
You set up your own camp here.
You can bring a tent, chair, tables, lights, change of clothes, food, drinks, and anything else you deem necessary to complete your challenge.
CREW
It is allowed to have helpers with you. They can assist you within your camp area but not on the route. On the route, they can cheer you on but cannot run with you or provide any other assistance. Crew members are allowed to stay overnight at the site. (Price: 100 DKK per crew member)
THE ROUTE
A beautiful 6.7 km route in Oesterskoven, featuring scenic lakes, the Gudenå River, breathtaking views, and an impressive forest landscape.
The route includes approximately 120 meters of elevation gain.
SILVER TICKET
The winner of WBU 2024 will receive a Silver ticket, granting access to a team event. The ultimate prize for the winner of this event is entry into the legendary BIGS race in the USA. Another way to gain entry into BIGS is to make it onto the international list of those who have run the longest.

RULES You must complete a 6.7 km route. You have a maximum of 60 minutes. (You can choose your own pace within the 60 minutes; the rest of the time can be used as you see fit.) A new round starts every hour for those participating. Three whistles will be blown before the start: 3, 2, and 1 minute before the start. You must be inside the starting field at the beginning. You must be self-sufficient on the route, with no external assistance allowed. No aids or tools are permitted (including walking sticks).
Terms of Participation When you participate in a Wayout event, it is at your own risk. This applies to both personal injury and damage to your clothing/items. You should check your personal insurance coverage. Participants must be at least 18 years old on the day of the race. If you wish to transfer your number to someone else, it can be done through your login at Sportstiming up to 14 days before the race start. Start numbers cannot be refunded or deferred. The race will only be canceled if authorities advise against being outdoors.
Entry Fee and Inclusions Entry Fee: 695 DKK per participant + Sportstiming fee.
