The Witiker Backyard Ultra was the first backyard ultra in Switzerland. Witikon is a district of Zurich, surrounded by hilly forests and streams, which allows for superb 6.7 km loop. The event, although its premier edition was only recently in 2020 followed by the Big Dog’s World Championship in the same year, has already become famous for its familiar atmosphere. Due to the limited number of available entries, runners have a great opportunity to get to know each other very well during the race. To make sure everyone can give his very best, the organisation team provides excellent vegetarian food including Swiss specialities such as Älplermaggronen.
