Our first race in 2023 was known as the Tombstone Turkey, since we had planned to run the Graveyard Trails at Thanksgiving. But an issue with grizzly bears forced a change of location at the very last minute. We moved the race to Cottonwood Lake Regional Park, and – surprise surprise – the location was perfect! Hugh Beedell of Nelson took the win with 18 loops.
So for 2024, we’re keeping the Cottonwood Lake location, and re-branding race as the Cottonwood Countdown.
Saturday, October 12, 2024 is the start. Only the winner knows when we’ll finish.
